Maine has 16 Counties and 2 Congressional Districts: 15 counties are wholly within a congressional district; only one county is split between the state's 2 congressional districts.

UNDIVIDED COUNTIES (those wholly within one Congressional District):

CD # 1: Cumberland, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc and York
CD # 2: Androscoggin, Aroostook, Franklin, Hancock, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Somerset, Waldo and Washington

Only Kennebec County is divided between CDs 1 and 2: the Towns of Monmouth and Wayne in western Kennebec County and the Towns of Albion and China- along with the unorganized territory of Unity- in eastern Kennebec County are in CD # 2. The remainder of Kennebec County (the central portion of the county) lies in CD # 1.
