John McCain endorses George W. Bush
Tuesday, May 9, 2000
"We are in agreement on more issues than we are in disagreement", John McCain said this morning as he endorsed George W. Bush in Pittsburgh. While the Arizona senator again told Bush that he is not interested in running as vice president, McCain said he will campaign for Bush and the Texas governor indicated that McCain will have an important role in the national convention this summer.
Bush also said that McCain's challenge in the primaries had made the Bush campaign stronger and helped him to become a better candidate. Source: NewsFlash! from 2000GOP.com, 5/9/00 10:15 a.m. CST |
