GREENVILLE, SC - Leading conservative and former vice president of the United States Dan Quayle today endorsed Texas Governor George W. Bush as "the most prepared" candidate to lead America as president. He made the endorsement at a press conference in Greenville, SC. "I know what it takes to be president of the United States, having been vice president and served with a great president for four years," Quayle said in making the endorsement. "Of all the candidates that are running, I can tell you that Governor George W. Bush is the most prepared to be the next president of the United States." "We know that we have prosperity today," Quayle added, "but let us be very clear that prosperity without values is no prosperity at all. Governor Bush has the values to be president of the United States." "He's a person that's taken a look at the field," Governor Bush said of Vice President Quayle's endorsement, "and he's decided that I'm the best candidate not only to win, but the best candidate to lead the nation." Bush added that he looked forward to Vice President Quayle’s support on the campaign trail as he continues to spread his message of lowering taxes, improving schools, and ushering in the responsibility era. |
